Claremont was one of England’s finest examples of 18th Century architecture and landscape design.

Over a brief period spanning approximately 60 years from the beginning of the 1700’s the Claremont estate was shaped and reshaped by all of the great architects and gardeners of the day, Vanburgh, Bridgeman, Kent and Brown the latter being responsible for the remaining Mansion House and much of the estate landscape. The current occupant, the Claremont Fan Court School is now wishing to bring itself up to date in terms of the facilities that it offers. In order to do so it needs to prepare a development plan which establish the principles of development for the next 20 years. Churchman are working with architects McDowell Benedetti and historic buildings advisors Paul Drury Partnership.
