Churchman have acted as retained consultants for the University since 2003 delivering capital projects, and producing a 15 year development plan in association with architects MJP.

During that time we have sought to establish a new campus aesthetic which is founded on the academic and research activities of the University while reflecting the characteristics and sensitivities of the site, notably its ecology, archaeology and rural features.

Churchman have promoted the adoption of sustainability as the starting point of all design processes and have assessed the feasibility of developing a Biomass strategy for the University’s land holdings which would enable them to move toward a point of self sufficiency in terms of producing their own heat and power.
