Our design concept provided a unique central space, which is designed to be experienced at ground level and from the elevated position of the apartments. The paving surface is made up of an 8 colour pixellated render of silk fabric while providing key service access on a continuous plane, establishes a meandering pedestrian route by introducing islands of planting and textured paving which complements the principal paved area. The planting design reflects the style and character of the East Indies, large specimen Rhododendrons being accommodated in freestanding planters.

This shared ground level space is complemented at high level by a series of sky gardens, providing semi private space for residents only. These gardens are laid out as abstracted patterns informed by the surrounding urban typography and established to provide shelter, play and secluded space with seasonal interest created through varied planting.
