The winning concept for the external spaces at City University will establish a series of independent social spaces located in the heart of the campus to complement Northampton Square.

The scheme will open up and enable spaces previously under utilised to be enjoyed by students throughout the year. The designs respond to the architectural history of the buildings though reflection, vertical living walls and dynamic ground planes that capture the utility of the buildings and enable engaging environments to emerge from the courtyard spaces. The first phase has been delivered on a fast track programme working closely with the client to enable completion for the new academic year.
